So the first few weeks are over, and maybe you have now started to adjust to this new life with your little one around.
It is incredible how fast babies develop. In the first few weeks, your baby seems to grow every day. You might not notice it if you are constantly around, but watch the videos you took of him 2 weeks ago and you will hardly recognize her. During the first year of life, your baby will develop at an amazing rate. She starts gaining skills and discovers the world around her.
During this year there are many things that you and your baby will do for the first time. The first thing that your little one will do is smile. The first smile will be worth all the sleepless nights that you had (and probably still have). At some point you will also need to introduce the first solid foods. This is fully explained in this section of the site. You will be taking your child to routine checkups at the pediatrician, and will also start vaccinating the little bundle.
